Exploring Kitsune (fox) mythology and trauma in the ecological crisis. 8mm developed in Yomogi.

05 RETURN OF THE WOLF

The Return of the Wolf is an experimental moving image work created in collaboration with Endangered Species Coalition, to celebrate the reintroduction of wolves to Colorado State, USA.

Created in collaboration with Gabriel Rollinos, the work was projected on Denver Clocktower for the whole of June 2022.

Commissioned reowrk of Vivienne Westwood's SS22 launch at London Fashion Week.

The entire video is hand-printed using the cyanotype technique, and touches on themes of the marine effects of the climate crisis.

07 YORKSHIRE DIRT

YORKSHIRE DIRT is printed entirely on soil, and features footage of rural practices like farming, animal agriculture, blood sports, etc. in Yorkshire.

The film is a comment on structural violence of rural landscapes, and how it feeds into wider issues such as the climate crisis.

Music video for Osaka-based artist 99Letters. Shishimai is the traditional Japanese Lion Dance performed at New Year.

The film was created using a combination of digital and analogue processes, including blending Artificial Intelligence and eco-inkjet.

DOGS ON FIRE is a film on violence being displaced from the Global North to the Global South for European meat consumption.

Printed entirely on waste cardboard generated during a residency at Cove Park, Scotland.

10 DON’T BE AFRAID

Music video for London-based artist Tycho Jones. Featuring over 5,000 hand-printed frames, this video is the first 24fps cyanotype film in history. Screened at Piccadilly Circus as part of DAZED Circa Class of 2021.

11 HERE COMES THE WILDFIRE

Here comes the wildfire! utilises archival footage from the 2018 wildfires on Saddleworth Moor, to paint a brutal picture of a haunting past and torturous future. Printed in the sun using the lumen process during coronavirus lockdown.
